Nested Cycles

The Kalachakra teaches that the universe and the individual are linked by the flow of time. The cycles of the sun, moon, and planets (External Time) correspond precisely to the flow of vital energies within the human body (Internal Time). By mastering the inner winds through meditation, the practitioner can decouple themselves from the relentless wheel of external time, achieving a state of freedom known as Alternative Time.

Ritual Destruction

The creation of a sand mandala is an act of extreme patience and precision, taking days or weeks. Yet, its conclusion is always destruction. The sand is swept up and poured into a river, a radical performance of the truth it teaches: that all constructed things are impermanent. Time is not something to be hoarded, but something to be flowed through.
